Job Summary:
A Certified Surgical Technologist specializing in Operating Room procedures is sought for a role in Anchorage, Alaska. This position involves supporting orthopedic and neuro surgeries, including total joint arthroplasty and robotic spine fusions utilizing Da Vinci Xi robotic systems. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

- Certified Surgical Tech with NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assistants) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Education and experience: 0 years minimum experience in operating room supportive procedures and robotic surgeries, with specific skills in total joints, neuro, and Xi robots; experience performing Da Vinci Xi Robotic Spinal Fusion procedures is preferred and will be prioritized
- Schedule: Three twelve-hour shifts per week; shift hours are from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, totaling 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- On-call: Required, with approximately 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift during an 8-week period
- Responsibilities include serving as a patient advocate and assisting in various surgical cases involving robotic and orthopedic procedures
- Patient ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: Variety of operating room beds and equipment, EMR system: Epic
- Typical procedures: Total joints, multi-level spine fusions, a variety of Xi robotic cases including gynecologic, colorectal, and general surgeries
- Additional notes: Scrub tech needs are specific to total joints, neuro, and Xi robots. Only candidates with these skills will be considered. The role involves a positive outlook and team collaboration.
- Dress code: Scrubs provided by the facility
- Shift hours: 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, three shifts per week, totaling 24 hours in this schedule
