Job Summary
MRI Technologist (MRI) Anchorage, Alaska. The organization is seeking an MRI Technologist to support a high-volume imaging unit performing primarily brain and spine imaging, along with abdominal and extremity studies. The role includes operating MRI equipment and assisting with imaging needs for a range of patient populations, including anesthesia and ICU patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 4x10 variable shift; 10 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Credentials: Registered Technologist (ARRT) (R); Registered Technologist (ARRT) (MR)
- Experience: 1 year of related experience (as stated)
- Additional requirements: Valid state license (pending license acceptable; processing takes 1012 weeks)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Trauma level II experience (as stated)
- Additional Information:
- Weekend coverage could be more frequent than every other and is subject to staffing needs.
- The assignment is stated as having no on-call requirement.
- Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
- Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby (as stated).
- RTO (time off) must be included in the submittal, and approvals are handled on an individual basis upon offer.
- Open to accommodating block schedule is noted as No.
- Locals are not accepted; perm address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (as stated).
- Travelers can only work for a maximum of 1 calendar year in the assignment and are required to take a minimum of a 6-month break before returning for another traveler assignment at the same facility.
- Facility vaccination requirement includes Hep B (without titers or declination, as stated).
- Modules are non-billable (average 16 hours); time over 20 hours requires PM approval; modules are completed pre-start and annually.
- Return staff policy indicates permanent staff must be separated from the prior employer for a minimum of 3 months to return as a traveler (as stated).
- Reference requirement: 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNA s) within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start (as stated).
- Travel-region submission limitation is noted (submission allowed to only 1 location within the region) (as stated).
- Submittal requirement: RTO must be included at time of submission and copies of required certifications and specific charting experience are requested (as stated).
